Hi, I would like the ability to add a service charge to the fee my users set for their documents. For example, I have a user that uploads a book they would like to sell, they use the upload page to set the fee to $9.99 - From the backend, I would like to set a service charge of $1.00 (either a set fee or percentage) to this amount so that the fee on the front end displays $10.99. When someone purchases this book, My Paypal address is credited $1.00 and the user's paypal address is credited $9.99. I would be VERY happy to pay for custom development if this can be done quickly!

Thank you,

Sondra Boone

BTW....awesome extension...I'm thrilled to have found it and will be going to Joomla right now to write a glowing review!!! :) :)

I would love to have this functionality for my site as well :)

That would complete the set of functions I need beautifully!

Is it possible to do this?

Or would it be difficult to implement?

I agree, this would be a great feature to compensate the site owner for the upload & cart service.

I simply suggest that the seller be aware of the fee upfront and adjust his price accordingly.
The add-on fee never goes well with buyers. The less they know, the smoother the flow.

The fee should be either a straight 'flat fee' or a percentage of the document price. Admin's choice.

Example: The user uploads his document with a suggested price of $14.95 -
The admin has set a 15% fee so when the sales is complete, $2.24 goes to the admin's paypal account and the remainder ($12.71) goes to the sellers pay pal account. Or if you set a flat fee of $3.00...well you can do the math.

This is kinda like a reverse affiliate program...and it is necessary to offset the cost of server time and bandwidth for uploads, support and the currently free promotion that an uploader gets.

Cheers!

Upload commission...
Any progress on this topic?
If nothing else, let's bump it to the top and see if it gets more attention.
It's the only thing keeping me from setting my site to LIVE status.

Thanks!

I would love to see such an update, the ability for a user to upload his/her documents, charge a price to download a document and pay a certain percentage/fixed price to the site owner upon sale of document.

1 Buy retail space or amount of digital files to sell their own on my site.
2 Each user can manage their own files and pay for to use the platform
3 The user may pay a commission for sales or a fixed cost for a defined time on my site

Would be great to enhance this component for users as well and not only for administrators

I agree that this is a needed enhancement as well.

I see it as an additional product called "service fee" automatically added as the last item in the shopping cart. This service fee amount and what you would call this "product" would be determined by the developer of the website
