What Stripe endpoint? was created by spitjack
I have successfully collected a payment on Stripe but it is still marked Pending in Eshop - troubleshooting forums state that I need a webhook with an endpoint url endpoint to get the Completed status. Is there an Eshop-specific url for that? The Stripe documentation is for an all-code solution which doesn't seem what I should need using a plugin.

I did note there was an endpoint secret field, so in adding the four event listeners, the Stripe admin showed a sample endpoint script with an endpoint secret in it, so I just now added that. But the return is still 'Pending' though Stripe has recorded an actual payment.

EDIT: I missed an email - I needed to activate my Stripe account. Duh. [Nope. still Pending]

a 'spit' is a rod upon which savory food was roasted, turned in ancient times by a worker called a 'jack', a middle English word for an ordinary laborer (eg jack of all trades, steeplejack, lumberjack). Today, this job is usually referred to as a 'pitmaster'.

The fix is
  1. make sure your endpoint url in stripe is
    Code:
    https://yourdomain.com/index.php?option=com_eshop&task=checkout.verifyPayment&payment_method=os_stripecheckout
  2. in the stripe webooks tab, assign the the reporting you want (I selected all checkout items)
  3. click on the active link, and get a signing key from the tab "Signing Secret" - enter this key in the endpoint secret field in EShop's Stripe plugin
This information should be in the documentation.

Dear spitjack,

Yes, that's it. I already said that in the readme.txt file of EShop Stripe Checkout payment plugin.

Sincerely, Giang

Hello spitjack,

In the package of EShop Stripe Checkout payment plugin, after unzip it, you should see the readme.txt file. I am also sending it to you here.

Sincerely, Giang

Thanks. I happened to find the original, but I haven't read a readme file in years. It's as if they are invisible to me.
