Hi.
I've just installed the Stripe plugin and been doing some testing.
Once a order is submitted/confirmed in the last checkout step, the payment is captured in Stripe perfectly.
However, in the backend of eShop, the status of the order is set directly to 'complete' rather than 'pending' like is the case with offline-payments.
Is there a way to have the order status set in a similar way as with the offline payments? (Where order status is set to 'Pending' as per settings in the backend?)

Hello Mark,
Stripe is the online payment plugin. If customer has already paid for the order, then the order status will be changed from Pending to Complete automatically.
With offline payment, after order is placed, the status is Pending. Once customer pay for the order (pay offline), you should change the order status to Complete.

Makes sort of sense, but is there a way to change this? For example can I set it to 'preparing' instead of 'completed'?
It is a little confusing (especially for the client) that once a order is payed, I have to change the status back from 'completed' to the various other stages the order goes through. (And the client will be informed by email that 'your order status has been changed from completed to preparing')
In our example, once an order is payed, the orderstatus would be changed to 'preparing', then 'packaging' and finally 'shipping'.
It would be handy to set the 'complete' stage manually only when the order is actually delivered to the client, just as we do with offline-payments.

Dear Mark,
Yes, you can. "Complete" is default setting of EShop. You can change it by going to EShop -> System -> Configuration -> Option tab, at "Complete Order Status" choose another Order status instead of "Complete"
