403 Error - Verification Code

I am using the email verification function.

When email link is sent to new subscriber, the link creates a "403 Error", or I get a login screen with "Invalid Subscription Code" I have the Joomla self register function set to Yes.

The link was:
visionachievement.co.uk/index.php/en/com...0e7519cb8&Itemid=101

but I think it should be:
visionachievement.co.uk/index.php/en/com...0e7519cb8&Itemid=101

as this worked. The difference is the '_' replacing the '.' between registration and activate. Is this something I can adjust??

The 403 error usually happens because User Registration is disabled on your site. Could you please login to administrator area of your site, access to Users -> Manage, then click on Options button in the toolbar, set Allow User Registration config option to Yes, then try again?

Thank you for a quick reply! Yes I checked that Allow User Registration was set to Yes, but I also noticed New User Account Activation was set to No, so I changed it to Yes - and it worked!
