Re: Add an [EVENT_DATE] to go along with [EVENT_TITLE]

Is there a way to add [EVENT_DATE] to go along with [EVENT_TITLE]. For example this;

Please enter information in the form below to process registration for event "example event"

I found where to add an [EVENT_DATE] after [EVENT_TITLE] in the database table _eb_configs. Is it possible for it to look like this when people go to register;

Please enter information in the form below to process registration for event "event example" on 12-23-2011 at 12:30PM

by using the [EVENT_DATE] and possibly [EVENT_TIME] tags that I can add in the table _eb_configs? Thanks for the help!

There are serveral places in the component need to be modified to have this feature . I added this feature to todo list and will have it ready in the next release !

Also, I have no problems doing this if you tell me what files need to be modified. I am assuming I can mimic the code for the pages that are calling EVENT_TITLE. Just assuming that to add EVENT_DATE calling options would be the same code as you use for EVENT_TITLE, just with some modifications. Thanks!

Has this been addressed or functionality added? I am not seeing this functionality in events booking. I am able to enter the event title. I could manually type the event date(s) in every event title, but this would be time consuming for multiple events. Automated with selectable option would be appreciated. I am setting up repeating events with same event title using child events monthly for multiple years out. Same week event, with different dates, three weeks each month, every month for multiple years. I want to be able see the event date(s) included in the event title as this would differentiate one week event from another week event in the calendar view. Otherwise, calendar view appears as one three week event at first glance rather than individual week events.

I tried entering [EVENT_DATE] in the event title box after entered title name (New Event Title Name [EVENT_DATE]) in the Basic Information Event Detail section. Frontend (calendar and events dropdown) displayed tag name "[EVENT_DATE]" in the title rather than tag value or actual event date (New Event Title Name 5/22/2024).

Maybe I misunderstood how or where to setup this up? I have also looked for a setting. Where can I find this in the documentation? I am working with Events Booking version 4.9.3 in Joomla 5.1.0.

Hi Tuan,

I do see (start) date listed in the events dropdown list.

My main concern was differentiating one week long event from another week long event in calendar month view, where I thought having the start date or date range listed in the title would help. Three One-week events consecutively back to back per month. Currently I have "Sun - Sat" in event titles.

However, I do not want to double list same date(s) in the events dropdown list (as i foresee happening if I were able to setup as I thought - date (range) in title).

Look like I mis-understood your requirement. Exactly where you want this [EVENT_DATE] information displayed next to title of the event ?

Adding [EVENT_DATE] tag to Title of the event, unfortunately, not supported
