Disallow Registrants to edit Registration details

Hi all,

When a user registers for an event, he can still edit his registration details once he's logged in.

Is there anyway we can PREVENT the user to do that? The nature of the website which has to lock down the information entered and not allowing the registratants to keep changing details along the way.

Please advise

We don't have a way to do that at the moment. I guess you can submit a support ticket sending us super admin account of your site so that we can edit code to remove the Save button on registrant edit screen to prevent users from saving the data

I don't think the proposed solution would work when you have multiple events running concurrently and you need to disable edits for one event but not the others. Any other ideas? I'm looking to buy new event registration software but I NEED this functionality.

I don't think there are many customers need that some events allow registrants to edit information and some others don't, so I think I will just add a config option which affect all events for now

If you need to setup it at event level, I think some customization will be needed in this case

Tuan - maybe I wasn't clear: it's not that I want some events to allow registrants to edit their information and others not to, it's that I want every event to allow registrants to edit their information up until some point in time when I need to use the information they provided for a given event. Specifically the events I run are soccer leagues so when a team registers for the event they would have a field that tells me their schedule constraints (eg. can't play Sat mornings or can't play on July 4th, or can't play at the same time as team X, etc.). After registration closes I put all of the teams into divisions and then advertise openings/discounts to fill remaining holes in divisions. That typically takes about a week. Then, once all of the divisions are full, I use the schedule constraints the teams provided in their registration forms to schedule the league. At THAT point I cannot have the registrants editing their information any more, I need to just use whatever they have told me. While I am at that point for, say, the Summer league, registration is still open for the next league starting in the Fall. So I need to be able to turn off "edit registrations" for Summer while it's still turned on for Fall and every league will allow editing of registrations until a week or so after registration closes. Hope that makes sense, thanks for considering it.

I just added some code to support this option. You can access to My Downloads menu item, download latest package, upgrade it to your site
Then go to Events Booking -> Configuration, set Allow Registrant Update Registration Record config option to No and it should work as expected

You just need to create a menu item to link to Registration History menu option of Events Booking

Registrants can login, access to that menu item, see their registration history and edit their registration record from there
