can't change product

On the eShop instalation at blockydogs.com/cmsbd/administrator/ i have one product which won't save.
i was trying to change one or two fields. i could entere the changes, but clicking either Save or Save& Close jumped back to the Full Joomla Dashboard, and when i went back, the changes hadn't taken effect.

i ended up deleting it and recreating it, and it saved fine. but unfortunately i forgot one thing, and when i go back in to change the Special Instructions option to Not Required, i get the same problem
