Amount Text input Box

Hi, I apologize if this has already been answered I couldn't find the answer anywhere. I would like to have the text box to type in the amount say type amount here inside the text box to let the person know they can manually enter the amount rather than select a predefined amount. I looked at the template in components/view, but couldn't manage to get the text to show up on the template inside the text box. Is this possible?

Try to have a look at the file components/com_jdonation/views/donation/tmpl/default.php, you should see the code and can change it.
