PayPal recurring payments issue.

Subject: recurring payments issue
hello, I am using Joomdonation component on a 1.5 Joomla! version.
I have found a problem with the recurring payments option of the software. As one completes the form, and is
redirected to PayPal to complete payment, an error appears when trying to login into one's own PayPal account.
Payment is not successful.
Can you please offer possible solutions for this? Thanks for your attention.

This problem doesn't happen with "one time" payment options.

I think this is an issue when you are using the PayPal sandbox testing server. Make sure you use the correct email address as setup in PayPal Sandbox 'Test Accounts'. The email will look something like 'somename_1331128040_per@isp.com'. I had this problem too but was fixed after I setup my Test Accounts using the 'Preconfigured' option in PayPal sandbox. Setup a Seller and Buyer account to test with.

But I am using the live joomdonation functionality. The software is not in test mode.
just now, I found out that if I use another PayPal account, it will work. You have any idea if any setting needs to change in PayPal account, to allow for recurring payments?thanks again

It is strange it will work with another PayPal accont, it could be a PayPal issue? Sorry I can't be of anymore help as I've only seen this error in test mode.

It has been confirmed that it was a PayPal problem. One of my collaborators had changed the primary PayPal account e-mail address, so that he could receive transactions e-mail notifications. This upset the entire process. Recurring payments would not go through, and other payment transactions were not showing in PayPal account records.
PayPal staff fixed it by changing some configuration parameters.
