Adding custom fields to email messages was created by lotus
Hi,
I need to allow donors to make donations on behalf of someone else. I see that I can create custom fields to add to the donation form, so what syntax do I use to include this information in an email to the administrator?
Ex: I create a new text field called:
DONATE_ON_BEHALF
This field contains the name of the person who the donor wants to credit with the donation. The donor will still be the one making the payment at PayPal, but they want the site administrator to send a thank you card to the DONATE_ON_BEHALF name instead.
If I put [DONATE_ON_BEHALF] in the admin email, will it be populated with the text entered in this field?
If not, how do I add custom fields to the admin message?
Please advise.
Thanks!

Hi
You can use the syntax below to include name of Custom Fields in the message :
[JD_CUSTOM_FIELD_NAME] . Please note that all characters in the tag must be in upper case !

Tuan

On this same subject. Can you tell me what the syntax is for the location map?
Also,I am configuring my email as follows:
"Dear participant you are registered for the following events:
Event: [EVENT_TITLE]
Date: [EVENT_DATE]"
If the person is registering for only 1 event this works great however if not this is a bit of a problem the email looks like this:
"Dear participant you are registered for the following events:
Event: Event#1, Event#2
Date: Eventdate#1"
first, it does not show the date for the second event. Secondly, how do i configure this so that the event date and the name of the event stay together in a meaningful way?
Secondly, if I use the [EVENT_DETAIL], it displays links to the event page via the event title however not any of the other information about the event itself.
Please help!

@Tuan I would like to clear my question up a bit. What I would like to know is if it is possible to include custom fields in the confirmation messages for Event Booking. I just realized that I was asking this on a Joom Donation question posted, and not Event Booking.
Please let me know if it is possible to call the Custom Field to be included in the messages.
Thanks

Hi Ronanld
Unfortunately, right now it is not possible to call custom fields in Messages. I will try my best to implement it in the extension ASAP (maybe to version 1.4.6) .
Regards,
Tuan
