Location link in timeline was created by Roger Clarke
Hi Tuan,
On an event timeline, the link to the location when clicked for some locations opens a modal / popup with the location map and for other locations opens up a page for the location.
I can't find what is controlling which of those things happens, so I have location links on the same timeline behaving in different ways. How do I control which way the location link behaves?
Thanks,
Roger

Hi Roger

When the location has image or description, it will take more space to display the location details, so we do not have it open on popup but having it open on new page.

All other locations will open on popup

Regards,

Tuan

I find it a shame to delete the display of the pop-up map, the description of the place allows you to specify information to get to the place, by deleting the pop-up map, clicking on the place opens the map in the window original and you have to go back to find the details of the event.
Can't we find the pop up as an option?

I'm afraid of there would be not enough space to show all these information in the popup. How about make the link open on a new window ?

I think we are not talking about the same thing, an example if I go to this page :
assodunpointalautre.fr/stage-de-recupera...normandie/4-yvetot-3
And I click on "lieu" (location in english) the behavior will not be the same as if I click on the same place on this page :
assodunpointalautre.fr/stage-de-recupera.../3-mont-saint-aignan
The difference is the description of the place but I don't see why there is a problem with space? I would like to have the map that opens in pop-up even if the description of the place is used

Hi Jean

Please update your site to latest version 4.9.3 of Events Booking. Then get the attached file, unzip it, upload to templates/shaper_helixultimate/html/com_eventbooking/elements folder and check it again to see if it works as you want ?

Regards,

Tuan

Great. That's implemented using override, so it won't be lost when you update to future releases of the extension
