Make email Not Required in Delivery Details?

Within the Checkout, is it possible to make the Email field in the Deliver Details not required, or better yet, remove it?

We are working on a flower delivery store site where orders will be placed and delivered to someone else, and that email isn't known. The site will be the same as the flower delivery websites out there, that I'm trying to imitate. The person ordering the flowers enters their billing info, they then enter "Delivery Address" of the person who will be receiving the flowers, then choose the Delivery Date and enter a "Note" to put on the gift card.

I am sorry but the email field is required and it can not be hidden or removed.

Hi Giang, would this possibly be a feature in the future, where we could make the email address for the delivery address not required? We're currently doing a work around which is working ok but that feature would work better.

it would be a nice feature related mostly to phone orders, at least, i my case
