notification message when document is public

Hi. I wish that component send notification message to every mail address of users belonging to the level access selected on upload form when document has been uploaded without assignation to any user. For example if during upload i select level access as "registered" and no assign the document to anyone all users have that access (registered) receive the notification message.
What do you think?

Edocman has the plugin called: plug_edocman_notification, with this plugin, administrator can add Joomla user groups(in plugin parameters form) and in Edocman Categories, you are also can select Joomla user groups. When new document is uploaded or updated, the notification email will be sent to users in selected Joomla user groups.
To make this feature work, you need to publish the plugin Edocman Notification at Back-end > Extensions > Plugins.

1) The plug_edocman_notification will override the notification messages that i created in edocman configurations - messages?
2) The plug_edocman_notification will send notifications to the user belonging to usergroups added in the edocman category?
3) I don't find the field to add usergroup(s) in edocman category. Where is it?
4) When notification message is sent to all users belonging to that usergroup every user will receive the message without see in the recipient field the others, correct?
5) Can i use the tags that i find in edocman configurations - messages to create custom message in the plug_edocman_notification?

The meaning is when new PUBLIC document is uploaded or updated, correct? Because if i upload a document assigned only to specific user(s) i hope that the notification message won't send to all users belonging to the usergroups selected in the plug_edocman_notification, correct?

The tags are used: DOCUMENT_TITLE, DOCUMENT_LINK, CATEGORY_TITLE, CREATED_USER_USERNAME, CREATED_USER_NAME, CREATED_USER_EMAIL,USERNAME, NAME

-> Nope, Edocman will still send email to users belong to category's user groups and user groups of plugin.

Thanks for your replies but unfortunately the point n. 6 is not good. I think you should disallow to send the notification if document is assigned to someone. Don't make sense how it works now. Why users must receive notifications about private documents?
I hope you fix it.
Unfortunately right now i cannot use this feature.

Please don't forget about point n. 6. If you edit it finally i can enable this plugin and send also private documents too.

Hi all,

I am still having troubles getting this notification plugin work. As I understand the manual and this forums post it can be used to notify jomla group members about modification of a document or the creation of a new document in a edocman category.

I have the plugin installed and enabled, but where to set the category? in the category i also cant find it?
