which field types work with CB field mapping?

which field types work with CB field mapping? was created by thepiston
I noticed when I changed a field that was "List" versus "Text" that I lost the "Values" area when creating a new custom field. Does that mean that I cannot map the field to a CB field? Does the field map to the "Value" or the "Default Value"?
