Page titles and descriptions was created by Scott Ackerman
How do I get the campaign name and the campaign description text to display on the donation page? It doesn't seem to matter what I change the text to it always displays "Use this form to make an online donation. If this is for something specific, please note that in the comment box". Also the Component Title always displays "Online Donation" regardless of the campaign type that is selected in the menu item. This presents a large usability issue because the first text on the page that the user sees does not necessarily correspond to the 'Campaign Type'.

Hi
1. To change the text displayed above donation form, please go to Joom Donation -> Configuration, looks at Messages tab, find the messages and change it to meet your need .
2. To change the text "Online Donation", please go to Joom Donation -> Translation, find and change the text !
Regards,
Tuan

Tuan, thanks but it would be nice to be able to include PDF file attachments and hyperlinks in the 'message'. Wouldn't it make more sense to be able to use the 'Description' element to display as the 'message'? Also as far as the titles go I am running 2 campaigns at the site, one is an online donation, the other is an endowment gift. So there is no one title that I could use that wouldn't confuse users. Again, wouldn't it be easier to just use the campaign title for the heading? I guess I can accomplish this with a template override, but I am not sure what form is being used. Could you give me some direction please?

Hi sackerman
Please give me more information :
1. It seems you are using donation form plugin to display donation forms for the two campaigns ? Can you send me the links to the two pages ?
2. What Joomla version you are using ? 1.5, 1.6 or 1.7 ?
After receiving the above information, I will guide you what file need to be edited to do what you need !

Yes that is correct, I have 2 pages:
dev.poudrewildernessvolunteers.org/index...=donation&Itemid=351
dev.poudrewildernessvolunteers.org/index...w=donation&Itemid=31
The site has been updated to Joomla 2.5

Hi
Please follow the instructions below :
1. Download the file below, unzip it, get the file and upload it to components/com_jdonation/views/donation/tmpl folder.
2. After that :
- Campaigns title will be used as the headering of page .
- Campaign description will be used as the message .
(I haven't tested the code as but it should work) .
Regards,
Tuan

Tuan,
thanks, looks like it will work fine. Although what I did was to create a folder 'my_template>html>com_jdonation>donation', and placed the file in there in order to act as a template override, that way I won't have to revise it again if the component gets updated.

Yes. that's correct solution. Using template override will prevent the modification from being over write when upgrade to new version!

Hi, using template overwrite is not working for me in Joomla 2.5.4 and latest version of joomdonation. I uploaded the file to the following folder within my template.
my_template/html/com_jdonation/donation/default.php
do I need to create the directories in this form:
my_template/html/com_jdonation/views/donation/tmpl/default.php
my_template/html/com_jdonation/donation/default.php

No, the way you have it set up should be fine. As a test, on or about line 13 change the 'JText::_('JD_DONATION');' to 'TEST' and refresh your page. You should see the word 'TEST' at the top of the page. This would let you know that the override is in fact working and that you have a problem with the code in your override. What are you trying to accomplish?
