Custom field order

I can't seem to change the order of any custom fields. The form is showing them in order of creation (ID), and no matter what I do to change and save the order, it still puts them in ID order.

Any hints?

(PF version 3.6 on Joomla 3.3.6)

Edit the form, there is a Fields Settings tab, and you can change the order from there

A bit tricky though. So the whole ordering column in the custom fields tab doesn't actually do anything? Why is it there?

It will be used for new forms. The idea is that each form can has it own set of ordering, and doesn't depend on the ordering in Fields Manager

It is a bit confusing but give more flexible to customers
