Adding unique ID reference to confirmation email

Does Payment Form have the option to add a random alpha/numeric string of about 8 characters to the bottom of each confirmation email that is sent to customers?

I wish to use this as an ID reference.

It is not possible. However, I think it will be easy to add support for this feature. Right now, it also have a random string (for transaction id), but it is the random string from the following characters :

abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyzABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ0123456789

Can we add this random number to the donation thank you page and to the email? We want to track each donor with manual bank transfers.
