Configurations after installing update

Hi,
I have an older version of OS Service Booking and I would like to upgrade it. I read the previous post on how to upgrade an older version to a newer version. Following the 4 steps recommended in this post, do all my configurations, translations, times slots, employees, etc. will remain the same or I will have to start all over? Also, if I instead install the newer version in my Joomla back end (updating it with the extension manager), will the result be the same?

You can install new version in the backend of Joomla (Extension manager), but you need to backup translation before installing it. I advise you to backup your site before installing new version with safe reason.
