Today, we just released the next version of Joom Donation - version 3.7. This new version has so many changes compare to old version, so before you upgrade to this new version, please make sure make a back-up of your whole site first:
1. We completely re-wrote the code of the extension to make the code cleaner, better architecture and structure.
2. All fields in donation form is now managed as custom fields. So :
- You can show/hide any fields on the form
- You can change ordering of all fields on form (in the old version, custom fields are always located after core fields (First Name, Last Name....), so you could not move a custom field above basic field.....
3. Now, for each campaign, you can specify the donation type which it will accept : One Time Donation, Recurring Donation or Both (Both is default) . In old version, a campaign only accept one time or both one time and recurring donation. It could not only accept recurring donation as in new version.
4. We improved the layout of some pages in the extension :
- The campaigns list page

- The campaigns, thermometer, donors module.
5. We improved user - registration integration :
- Existing users can enter username and password on donation form to login before continue with donation process.
- If users registration registration is turned on, users will need to enter username and password to register for an account, it could not be optional like in the old version.
6. We integrated Jquery validation engine so that you can validate data of all fields donation form in the way you want.
7. Back-end is now fully translatable (it has it own language file - not hardcoded language string like in the old version).
8. Joomla core ACL integration. You can now config what users group can access to the extension from front-end.

If you want to upgrade to this new version, simply download latest version and upgrade it to your site. As I said, there are many changes, so please make sure you backed up your site first before upgrading to this new version.
