Upgrading from 2.6?

Any suggestions?
Is there anyway to do this and keep the existing campaigns?
Not too concerned keeping track of donations. Once they are downloaded as a CSV that's all that's needed.

From what I've read it's not as simple as upgrading from 2.8+ re-install and that
I should Un-install 2.6 and install fresh 3.6 copy

1) Back up all data
2) Back up copies of all forms
3) Un-install 2.6
4) install 3.6
5) Re-create new Donation Campaigns...

You mean upgrading from old version to new version or migrating data to new site (maybe you upgrade your site to newer version of Joomla) ?

Currently have JoomDonation 2.6 installed with Joomla ver. 2.5.19
Would like to upgrade JoomDonation to the current version 3.6
We currently have 4 different donation campaigns on the website.

Looking for recommendations for updating from 2.6
It looks like From 2.8.1 is pretty easy.

But from 2.6 will i have to Un-Install 2.6 and Install 3.6?
Then Re-create my 4 donation campaigns?
Is there an easier way?

I do not care about Donor data. I just do not want to have to re-create 4 campaigns.
