I completely understand what you are saying about "normal" customers. The config screens are a touch complicated already!

For me it causes me challenges - I add the feature to the code locally - you release a future update and I have to merge the feature back in each time. So - is there the option to have some 'secret' settings? I'm thinking config file that a "normal" user never touches but a special case user can set a setting in? The code would need to have the decisions in it?

#1 I think is actually more important than #2 and #3. I suspect some people are using don't show free, but I doubt I'm the only one who has an event in the dairy that doesn't yet have its cost finalised!

#2 Yes I agree - its a bit specialist - I just didn't want to be implying the general public could just turn up. The alternative for this would be actually to enable it by default but use CSS to hide it unless someone wants it configured ;-) (Or even CSS it a different colour and I can add a key at the bottom of the page!) But all need something in the core code.

#3 Pleased it will go in the code.

Hi guys,
Here is my zip of overridden files.
(just for remembering the issue: SOME of my Events has NO STARTING DATE so I do not want to show this table row at the Frontend. A clever Backend Setting at the Event Categories still would the best)

My solution is far not perfect because:
- if you delete later the initially added Event Starting Date then it will show "-0001-11-300:00" at the Frontend
- it needs deleting the Event Starting Date 3 times (!) to make it disappeare (hoodoowoodoo???)
- whenever the Event Starting Date has been deleted then there is no chance to add and display it again at the Frontend :/
...well, basically it does the job - I can create events without Starting (or any) Date .

Otherwise I have some more pain:
1. I would like to use a Module what looks like exactly the "Events Booking Upcoming events" but lists the Archived Events. (the Events Booking View Module is a total different one even I choose View:Events Archive)
My suggestion would be using (only) a complex EB Module (as like e.g. K2 or others do) what may results modules for different purposes based on the Backend settings. ...and with a dropdown category chooser instead of typing the category ID.

2. Also would welcome to be able choosing the Categories at the Search Module for Event Booking. It seems like an elemental function to use the module on different event category pages as like an individual page for Concerts, Exhibitions, etc.

Just digged through the forum but have not found any answer for my questions ...that is why I ask you now!
Thank you,
palos
