Private Events was created by Roger Shambaugh
When we schedule a private event we set the cost to 0 and set the attendees to 0. We also disable registration. When this happens the event appears on the calendar as Free and unlimited. Is there a way to change free and unlimited? We would like to display private event on the calendar but not allow anyone to register for it. We would also not like people to see the pricing of the event.

Do you have any other events that you list as free, or list with unlimited spots? If you NEVER use either for other events, you could change the text associated with these tags in the [Translation] tab. Filter for and change [EB_FREE] and [EB_UNLIMITED].

There are other settings which you might want to try, they are in Events Booking -> Configuration, look at Themes tab, find the config options below:
- Show price for free event: Set it to No .
- Show Event Capacity: Set to No
Then the information will be hided. But they will be hide for all other events as well
Regards,
Tuan

I also have this issue, the solutions mentioned above are global...
We wolud need the possibility to turn these two (or more) fields on or off BY EVENTS and NOT GLOBALLY.
It is working perfectly when leaving these fields empty:
- Event End Date
- Registration Start Date
- Cut off date
- "Price" field is a hybrid one as we can turn it off if "ZERO (0)".
It also would be much better to turn it off if EMPTY and mark as "FREE" if "ZERO (0)!
- the same would be advisable for "Capacity"
May we hope a quick solution or should we cook the code?
Thank you!

I know it sounds strange... but I also would show some events WITHOUT ANY (e.g. Starting) DATE.
Any chance?

@Palos: For event without date, please enter 2099-12-31 00:00:00 for date of the event
@For settings to show/hide fields by event, unfortunately, it is not supported. So if you want to have these settings, you will need to customize the code

Tuan

I am just getting "To be confirmed" in this case :S
I am afraid that I misunderstood some feature when I decided to buy events-booking.
"You can choose to show/hide, require/not require any fields... (on registration form)"
"You can choose which fields you want to use... (on registration form)"
"You can create un-limited custom fields..."
"Each event can have its own, independent set of custom fields."
It is my fault but I am ready to solve somehow this pain and make the component usable for me.
Would you help me how to customize and which one of backend code to choose to be able switching field on/off at the backend .../administrator/components/com_eventbooking?
There are a few paiful issue like menitoned above although I feel events-booking promising and much better than the competitors
Thank you!

Hi Palos
This feature is available in the extension, so we won't have to change anything. You just need to go to Events Booking -> Custom Fields :
1. Publish / unpublish the fields you want / don't want
2. Edit the custom field and assign it to the events you want (or all events)
3. Create new custom fields.....
Please try that and let me know if you need more help
Regards,
Tuan

Dear Tuan,
Thank you but I am afraid of that I was not described the issue perfectly.
(Sometimes) I do not need two row in the article's properties:
- Event Starting Date
- Event Capacity
!NOT PERMANENTLY BUT IN JUST SOME CASE!
(Lets say only in some Category.)
So any solution what is about deleting it from the PHP code is faulty.
We need it as a switchable option at the backend as like it is working perfectly when leaving these fields empty:
- Event End Date
- Registration Start Date
- Cut off date
Thank you,
palos
