only show products on front page, no categories

hello,

we only have a few products (in two categories) to display in our estore.
i'd like a simple page just showing the four products, and not showing the categories.

is there a way to set up the front page to do this?

...or is there a better way using a different menu option?

(again, i need a page that would show both categories' items together, and not just a single category.)

one more question... how can i most easily add a Visible Title (heading) to the page?

i can add an extra module, if needed, but just wondering if there is some "built in" method... i can't seem to find such an option in the menu item fields / tabs.
