What is the purpose of 'Available date'?

Hi,

One of the product options is 'Available date'.
What is the purpose of this field and where should it be shown in the webshop?




Has it something to do with 'Out of stock' and the availability of the product at the set date?
In the example my product is out of stock, the date is set, but I can't find it anywhere in the shop.

When a product is out of stock, the Available Date will be used and display the date that product will be available on the site.
