Shop Frontpage not showing correctly

I'm not sure what is going on...
I selected FrontPage for the menu item but it is not showing the top menu bar or any of the top information as shown on the demo.
It is only showing the categories and the cart.

The front page view of EShop show categories and featured products. If you don't have any featured products, then there is no product are shown on the front page view.

I have this problem as well. I did make one of the test products featured and it does show up, however the categories come out in staggered icon view and not in a list as expected. Additionally, the product shows up underneath the categories icons.

The categories are listed there as icon, each row has 3 categories. Below categories and list of featured products. That is the way that EShop Front Page work. How do you want?

The Front Page appears to be very limited. Since it displays categories as icons and I cannot seem to change that, I added the categories module to the page as well as the search and cart.

I will change the "Store" menu item to a content article of some kind or just remove all products and categories from the view.
