Unable to view documents - 403 forbidden

Hi Tuan,

I hope all is well with you?

I am having difficulty viewing documents using edocman. The document is a public document and is in pdf format. Downloading is not a problem and the details are displayed as I would expect.
I am using Akeeba's Admin Tools on this site so this might be a permissions issue? I am using the latest version of eDocman 1.5.7 what have I missed?

I don't have any clue about this issue. Maybe permission issue because of Admin Tools usage as you mentioned. Could you please submit a support ticket sending us admin and FTP account of your site so that I can check to see what's wrong and get it corrected for you ?

Good to speak with you again - and really sorry for messing you about!
It had been a while since I last configured eDocman and on the site in question I am also using the ACL Manager extension. This issue was my fault - I had not got the permissions set properly in ACL manger to support viewing and downloading documents for the particular group in question :blush: .

On a different but connected issue I have noticed that the performance of FireFox and Chrome sometimes differ in this regard - do you have any knowledge of this? It seems to be connected to how firefox has been set up for viewing pdf's...

Thanks for the update. For performance of viewing PDF file, this is something which cannot be controlled from EDocman code. This is controlled by the web browser add-on for viewing PDF, so to be honest, I don't know how to answer the last question from you.

As you said, it belongs to web browser behavior
